Privacy policy

TimeSheet is a Google Sheets add-on that imports your hours from Toggl, Clockify or TimeCamp and turns them into invoices. It is published by Benjamin Burel (contact: benjaminburel2@gmail.com), referred to below as "we".
1. Google data TimeSheet uses
When you install TimeSheet, Google asks you to allow these permissions. Here is what each one is used for, and nothing else:
- See, edit, create and delete only the spreadsheet where the add-on is used (
spreadsheets.currentonly): to write your time entries, prices, dashboard, invoice and ledger tabs in that spreadsheet. TimeSheet cannot open your other spreadsheets. - See and manage only the Drive files the add-on creates (
drive.file): to save your invoice and timesheet PDFs in a "TimeSheet Invoices" folder it creates, and to update a PDF when you correct an invoice. TimeSheet cannot read your other Drive files. - Connect to an external service (
script.external_request): to fetch your hours from the time tracker you connect, and to check a TimeSheet Pro license. - Display content in Google Sheets (
script.container.ui): to show the TimeSheet side panel. - Run when you are not present (
script.scriptapp): to run the optional daily sync once a day.
TimeSheet does not access your Gmail, your contacts, your calendar or any other Google service.
2. Where your data is stored
- Your hours, clients, prices, invoices and settings are written in your own Google Sheet, and your invoice PDFs in your own Google Drive.
- Your time tracker API key is stored in your Google account through Google Apps Script user properties. Only the add-on, running for you, can read it. We cannot see it. The Disconnect button deletes it.
- Your business details, logo and client billing details are stored with the spreadsheet (Google Apps Script document properties) and in its Settings tab.
3. Services TimeSheet talks to
- Toggl, Clockify or TimeCamp, only the one you connect, with your own API key, to read your time entries, clients and projects. TimeSheet only reads; it never changes your data there.
- Whop, our payment provider, if you buy TimeSheet Pro. Whop processes the payment and handles your billing details under its own privacy policy. The add-on sends your license key to Whop to check that your subscription is active.
We do not use analytics, tracking cookies, advertising or third-party AI services in the add-on.
4. Google API Services User Data Policy
TimeSheet' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not transfer, sell or use Google user data for advertising, credit decisions or to train machine learning models, and no person reads it.
5. How long data is kept
Your data stays in your Google account as long as you keep the spreadsheet and the PDFs. To remove it: click Disconnect in the panel (deletes your API key), delete the TimeSheet tabs or the spreadsheet, delete the "TimeSheet Invoices" folder, and uninstall the add-on from Extensions, Add-ons, Manage add-ons. You can also revoke access at any time from myaccount.google.com/permissions.
If you write to us, we keep your email only as long as needed to answer. Payment records are kept by Whop as required by law.
6. Your rights
You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. In practice we hold nothing but your emails to us. If you are in the European Union, you can also contact your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
7. Children
TimeSheet is a business tool and is not meant for children under 16.
8. Changes
If this policy changes, we update this page and its date. Important changes are announced in the add-on.
